Fyi..,for those of you who get the cheaper aftermarket tow mirrors be sure to check the bolt length on the front bottom to make sure it is short enough to clear the door jamb, otherwise it will scratch your door pillar, l had to cut the tip of the bolt and touch up the paint where it scratched the door pillar on my pass side. The driver mirror glass got crushed in shipping so i used the partial refund and got a used oem driver tow mirror to put in its place, the only issue is one turn signal is smoked and the other is not, i may tint the oem one somehow to match..
I did use the brackets and they make a big difference in stability of the mirror.

What brackets?

I bought the aftermarket power folding tow mirrors from 1A Auto and haven't had any issues.

Yes, the ones from 1a Auto should install with no issues. I’ve bought and installed them and had no problems. Where did you get yours from?

I got my mirrors off of ebay but not from 1A Auto, they have turn signal with puddle light and manual fold. $147 for the pair of aftermarket mirrors. The driver came with broken mirror so i got a used oem one to replace it.

Yeah you got something way different. Those brackets were not necessary in swapping mirrors with the set I had done before.

Do you have a link for the mirrors you got? Or pictures?

I used those brackets with my mirrors from 1A. Theyre supposed to help with rigidity on the heavier tow mirrors so they don't vibrate at hwy speeds. Alot of guys have went without them issue free, I just added them just in case

Interesting. I do remember people asking me if I had vibration issues with them flipped up, however I did not but to each their own yeah.

And your mounting bolts were really long that they damaged the pillar?

The aftermarket mirror bolts are little longer than the oem bolts, it didnt damage the pillar, just scratched the paint when the door shut, i cut the bolt shorter and touched up the paint.

Isn’t there a shark fin looking triangle cover piece over them? Or atleast there should be?

There is a cover for the back two bolts, however the front bolt is exposed and thats the one i had an issue with.

I bought the A1 mirrors. Installed them then took the truck to the stealership.. the puddle lights work but the turn signals do not.. could it be they forgot to turn the code on in the computer??

I Installed row mirrors on my truck tonight however when I push the fold button the drivers door folds in while the passenger stays out and vice versa. Anyone know how to fix this?

Instead of cutting the new studs remove the originals and use them. They just unscrew.
