Good day to you folks, I'm doing a work in progress audio upgrade. Upon starting with a simple oem integration dsp, I've come to the point where it now with " all factory speakers" sounds GREAT. Do not get me wrong, I won't win any sound competitions, but just this little bit has made a world of difference. My audio is the basic Ram one with a simple head unit not even with U connect and those same crappy Ram (6) speakers that came from the factory. Now it sounds more like a concert on wheels. I will post a link if allowed of which DSP I went with.

You go man I have the infinity system with my 94 and I have a clarion head unit. the clarion head unit doesn't handle it well it tends to distort easily after it goes out i'm going with a oldie pioneer cassette deck. :)

I love the older Pioneers, just wanted this to look as factory as possible, but sound like I've spent some serious coin on it. Now compared to my SQ Legacy, the money spent on my Ram was paltry, yet it's making my jaw hurt from smiling soo much. :)

Well if I didn't want to scare the people on this forum, I would post a photo of me smiling while listening to this system. :)

Nice man! Thats like the big brother to my helix DSP. The internal amp on that thing is pretty crazy. I havent seen any with that much power. And I agree, DSPs make all the difference...period. I dont think i can ever run DSP-less again, in any vehicle.

You plan on upgrading speakers or amps down the road?

I listen to a lot of Christian based music and some R&B. As far as replacing speakers or adding another head unit, that would be a no. This will be low tuned meaning I'm dropping the bass level so that it doesn't kill my current oem speakers. Between time alignment and crossover separation, it will be a sweet basic system. Thank you kindly gentleman for the positive feedback.

Nice! I listen to a lot of old country so some of the songs don't have all that good bass to them because of technology at the time. in music I am an all a rounder but, I can't get much into today's newer music.

Once it's tuned it I will post a YouTube video of it, meaning how it sounds. :)

so, maybe I'm a bit ignant on this...but how does one integrate this into their factory stereo? Is it easy, or is there some hacking of wires? I love the JL clean sweep and if there's a plug N play way of integrating one to the factory stereo I'm all over that.

They usually have high level inputs, specifically for factory integration. Meaning they just use speaker level signal input. Then disperse that signal to amps or in this case, it has an internal amp built in so it just sends signal straight to the speakers.

Not necessarily plug and play. More like, splice and play?

Trust me you are not ignorant and this is not for the faint of heart. There are several steps involved although they want you to believe that it's plug and play, it's not. Wires have to be run, soldered, fused, and it requires a special harness since the Rams run Can Bus radio wise. The main piece needed to integrate this seamlessly is not included and on back order. So you have to get creative but it's well worth the outcome. Would I do it again, yes in a heartbeat but not without having everything and I do mean everything before hand lol.
