Is this normal?

I changed my struts out today and noticed this. Where the upper bolt goes appears to be worn and so does the upper portion of the shaft. What would cause this?cf5deef42e42c089d1770278f979335b.jpgbe5274227bfcee579c8c55cae2a0d62a.jpg

Are they the factory struts or aftermarket struts???

I've never changed mine, but I'm pretty certain that is NOT normal.

Im pretty sure its not normal either. i bought the truck used so no telling if it had a lift kit on it at one time or who know what kind of abuse it was put through

Looks like the top of the strut was loose or what happens when you install the Bilstein 5100's with the washer in the wrong place.
