Which type of jack are you with 4" lift and 35s carrying in your truck? Does the factory supplied jack work?

Have you tried your factory jack? 35” tires from the factory 33” accounts for only 1” of added clearance. Your lift has nothing to do with what size jack you need. Lol

I had a '98 2500 4x4 with a lift and 35's... I carried a 60" top-of-the-line Hi-Lift jack. If you're driving a street truck, the factory jack will work fine. If you're driving a real truck, get a Hi-Lift. And don't cheap $#!t out with a Harbour Freight, I've seen the bar bend and the bolts shear while trying to jack up a 4x4 truck.

I now have a '12 2500 4x4 diesel, and still carry my Hi-Lift. I don't leave home without it!

Playing devil’s advocate here, how do you lift a ram with a Hi-Lift??
My Hi-Lift lives in my garage(left over from my Jeep YJ days), and while it would work in a pinch to “winch” out of a stuck situation, I have not yet found a suitable location to lift the ram from.

I carry a high lift jack from Harbor Freight Tools and I welded up a base plate/big foot. I really like my jack it hasn’t failed me yet. And great lifetime warranty too.

I bought their accessory "strap" that has two j-hooks on straps and a box that fits over the Hi-Lift tongue. I've used it to change the tire on my girlfriend's Toy minivan (jack up the tire, block it, change it, jack it up and remove the blocks). If it has openings in the rim that you can get the hooks into, you can jack it up!

I also bought their "bumper hook" accessory that will hook under a stock bumper near the frame mounts. I actually used that on my old '98 Ram 2500 on the side of I-75 after a 35 decided to come unglued at 75mph.

That strap sounds like a good idea.
Using the hitch on the back sounds a little sketchy/un-stable for my liking.
On the front of my truck(2012 big horn) the tongue of the jack is not long enough to reach under the bumper and still be vertical. The only place it will reach is if I put it through the tow hook opening.

I always have had a Hi-Lift on every lifted truck I own, but mostly use it for farming.... them things can be sketchy.... but handy.

If you are looking for home use there are a couple of other option. I have them all or have made them and they work out well for me
1. is a jack stand with a built in jacks that can be bought at tractor supply https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ULZGF...K0&pd_rd_r=GGM8AC759WKJ4SYT3AJX&pd_rd_w=BDlPJ

2. block as someone else mentioned

3. jack extension, can be welded up yourself or purchased

Depending on what I'm working on I tend to use the bottle jack jackstand often with cribbing under it to set it up to have to run the jack out as little as needed.

hi lift lives in my truck, haven't needed it yet though. I try and use bottle jack if I'm at home. Or my regular jack and a few 2x4's

I've used my stock jack with a block and it's no problem on a lifted truck. I usually carry a 3.5 ton floor jack in my truck most of the time though and that's way easier.
