Alright a guys back before Christmas I had my Longtubes installed. And ever since then I have been getting a set of codes coming up. They are P0133 and P0153. They are both for the O2 sensors in front of the cats. I'm thinking that I may have a exhaust leak at the headers. And I'm curious to how good the JBA gaskets are. Do any of you all have any experience with these products. I'm thinking that I may need to go ahead and replace them with some factory gaskets. What do you guys think?

JBA Headers gaskets

That's what I'm thinking I should have done. I believe I'll have to order a set and have my shop swap them out for me.

I went through leaky headers twice, until I got the factory gaskets and 6.1 bolts put in... :favorites13:

Thanks David. I'll give that a read through. I'm loving the new sound as power. But the dang CEL is driving me crazy. I put some spacer on my rear O2s where my CATs where. And I haven't thrown a code once. So if I can just get those 2 codes up front to go away I'll be happy.

Looks like that's what I'm going to be doing David. I don't think I have full on exhaust leak yet. But I may have a small one started on both sides. That's causing the O2s to throw codes.

Yep, it's very common. You could retorq the bolts and that might help temporarily...
When the shop pulled the ****** JBA gasket they showed it to me, and it looked like a burnt waffle. There was less than a year and no more than a few thousand miles on it. It was completely trashed...

Once you get the oem gaskets and bolts in, you won't need to worry about it for a long time.

Good that's what I'm hoping for. I've had mine on for about 4-5 months now. And probably 2k miles if that. I'm hoping this will take care of my CEL lights. I'm wanting to do my gear swap before I swap tuners.

Alright guys I had my truck in to get the gaskets swapped out out last week. My exhaust guy said the would work. That that my headers and the gaskets both had a bevel. That wouldn't let them seal properly. She he reinstalled the JBA gaskets on the truck.

I picked the truck up Thursday with no CEL lights on. I have drove it around all weekend. With no lights. Up until today. I'm thinking that the harder bolts are slowly backing out on me. Do you guys have any ideas of what I can do to get them to stay tight. Short of using lock tight on them?

Any ideas here guys on what I can do shy of putting lock tight on the bolts? Maybe some lock washers to keep the bolts from backing out?
