I would personally recommend having someone do it. As a Powder/Ceramic coating shop owner it's not something I would recomend doing in your garage unless you are equipt to do so. Most ceramics cure above 900 degrees. Thus needing to be heated to cure temp

Have a pro do it so they can do it inside and out.

I always recommend ceramic coating on mild steel, but I dont feel it is as necessary on stainless. I went from uncoated longtubes to coated longtubes on my 03, and there was no performance gain on the butt dyno, real dyno, or the track. I did it for rust prevention and because it looked cool.

I can see where there would be gains from this on a 1000hp diesel engine, but I just havent seen enough of a gain from coating headers on a gas engine to use that as a selling point for the coating. The look and added protection it offers against rust are well worth it IMO though.

The benefits, and there are numerous places online to verify, aren't specific to diesels. It was started in the gasser world and trickled down to diesels over the years.
I don't expect anyone on a forum to take the word of a guy they don't know like me...research it yourself and make your own decision.
I'm not trying to sell anyone anything....just pointing out some proven aspects of making power for others to consider.

Will you feel it on the butt dyno?
Nope....but you didn't feel that electric fan either, or any number of other small power mods.
Think big picture....

On my 03 hemi, I was on the dyno almost monthly after adding each mod. I was also at the track at least 2-3 times a month. There was no performance benefit from the coating at the track or on the dyno. Again though, on a mild steel header, I wouldnt even consider running them without ceramic coating. On a quality stainless, I dont feel it is as important unless you want a show finish on them. I am a big fan of coated headers and would coat them for my own truck, but I would not expect to gain anymore than 2-3 hp from it...I didnt even see 2-3hp on my 03 though when I coated my headers. For me, it is all about the look and keeping temps down under the hood.

I have always had my headers done, also did the coating on a set of forged 383 pistons once.

tell your dealer he better familiarize himself with the magnusen /moss act it basically says the dealer CAN NOT void your warranty unless they can prove the mod caused the failure of said part

Tell your lawyer to be ready for a long fight. It'll cost you more money to fight the dealership's lawyers than it would to just give up and they know it.
Here's how it'll go; You'll go broke fighting it and still lose.

People have been saying what you said for decades. They've been wrong for just as long.
Every part of the motor is designed to work together. If you change one single part they can find a way to link it. Break an axle? hey...those headers added power and put the broken part outside of it's design limits. And so on and so forth.....

I don't have a warranty anymore haha. I don't think it transfers to the 3rd owner of the truck.

The ARH headers will work on the 2013's as well. I just updated the item description to show this.

This is true. I think it depends on your dealer though. Mine seems to encourage mods, they even put lift kits on new trucks and put them on the lot. They also sponsor the Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance.

My dealer is the same. They have the whole parts department full of lift's and tire/wheel combo's. If it is installed by the dealer they warranty it. If not then you get nothing from what i have understood so far. I don't know if that applies to performance mod's though.
