My JBA long tubes install thread.

So Ive ordered my JBA 6961S long tubes and JBA 6963SY for my 2012. I allready have a Magnaflow cat back But was waiting on my warrenty and truck payments to expire :) before spending money on aftermarket stuff.

Im sick and tired of having to bring in my RAM for warranty work for broken studs and warping manifolds. :flipthebird: I have been back X2 times now and I just want to fix the issue and be done with it.

I read on here that I had to get stage 8's bolts so Ive ordered those as well. My Question is are the provided header gaskets that come with the JBA's good or should I get better ones ? And if I do witch ones should I get.

Lots of people like the OEM ones over aftermarket.

Yeah I read that in a few threads. But was hoping for a good aftermarket option.

I've been running the JBA gaskets since November with no problems. Although the JBA bolts was complete junk and had to be replaced with SRT8 Challenger bolts.

I use the factory gaskets and have yet to have a leak in 3 months.

I did a ton of research on the HEMI forums yesterday and settled for the
Remflex exhaust gaskets. I sent them an email since I couldn't figure out which one to order...lol...

So Far here is my list of goodies on the way

Dorman 42009 Spark Plug Non-Fouler
Stage 8 - 8916 MOPAR 5.7, 6.1 Liter Hemi V8 Header Bolt Set
Permatex 81878 Ultra Copper Maximum Temperature RTV Silicone Gasket Maker ( for the Y pipe flanges )
Neiko 00239A Flexible Extension Bar Set
Vibrant (1167) 3" Stainless Steel Exhaust Seal Clamp ( the ones from JBA look like chepos on the pictures )

So today I went and had a look at my factory manifold, Guess what I found, Broken bolts... FML . time to take in back to the dealer for some warranty work. I just had my truck in the shop 2 months ago to do the driver side. At least this will help me with my upgrade. Esier to take out new bolts...lol...

Just got off the phone with RemFlex and they confirmed that the RemFlex 6022 will work on the 5.7 :)
