Upgraded the exhaust in the Wife's JK, Didn't like the drone of the Magnaflow resonator and Exhaust.

So I got a little bigger Borla Exhaust and Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator . No more Drone at HYW speeds, This will be awesome as im planning a trip this summer to QC. Even got to use an old exhaust hanger off my Ram... lol... And I did need to trim a bit of the protection plate of the evap canister... lol...

Wife's a bit mad we dont hear her jeep down the block anymore... *****...

3 Different Summits in 3 days . The first pictures is the exact same spot as my Ram in my avatar ;)

This trip made me realise how much more of a total POS the 1500 is at off roading.

We loved both our TJ and our JK. My 2003 TJ never leaked.. not even with the soft top. Our JK (2015 Hard Rock Rubicon) freedom tops leaked the entire time we had it. I never could get it to stop. The final straw for my wife was when it dumped rain on her when she was on her way to a meeting at corporate. Then when she came out after the meeting, the cupholders were full to the brim with water.

When we were trading it in on the Charger, I was talking to a couple of the sales guys at the local dealership. They pointed to the showroom floor and said "If you see a Jeep on the showroom floor, it's because it's leaking from the factory and they can't fix it. :)

We'd love to have another, but have agreed that it needs to be a toy that lives in the garage and not outside.

My 22 jeep JL has been flawless so far. Had the front tops out, but not the rear top off. No leaks.

Wow,
We happened to be driving through a little town about 45 min south of us and stopped at a Casey's to fill up and what did I see in the parking lot but my old Wrangler...
New owner didn't change a thing that I could see.
Still running the Rubicon wheels I put on it...

I miss that old JKU...

Man that sucks. Those freedom panels leak if not installed correctly. Our 2010 JKU would do that. When laying them in, before latching down, get inside and push up on them from nearest to the center bar and let them drop. Do that a couple times then latch them down. At least that fixed our leaks.

My 2012 JKR and 2021 Gladiator, both soft tops, haven't leaked a drop their entire life. And the 2012 is on it's second soft top.

Yep we tried that as well. Never could stop it. Dealers seem to know it's a thing. Wasn't a deal breaker for us as a toy, but it was as a daily.

Well Just found out my wifes breast cancer,:banghead:and she asked me to put more comfortable seats in her JK since we will have lots of appointments in Edmonton coming up .

Hopefully she'll be happy with these Baja XRS suspension seats. https://corbeau.com/baja-xrs/

Shes was able to put up with me for 25y, This should be a cakewalk for her :waytogo:. She's actually taking it extremely well and I'm the one that's a wreck.

Now I got to leave my mom alone to deal with my dad's lung transplant recovery. Wifes surgery is in 2 weeks.

When it rains it pours in my life:thumbsdown:

Lexus LX570 or the Toyota Landcruiser 4 door. All the off road capability of a Jeep, nice styling and great amenities, plus if you get the V8 version, tremendous reliability.

We crossed Canada this summer with the JK pulling a RV. It's perfectly fine

Her JK is done up to the ****. We actually discussed new seats during the trip. The diagnostic just made it a priority. 35s and AEV dual rate lift kit made the JK 100x better already. It Rides like your on a cloud.

I even recently cancelled my 4Runner order due to buying 15 acres with that money instead. She wants to live out in the sticks as much as I do. She took that decision not me. She loves her JK what can I say, country girls are the best:anitoof:.

My folks traded their Z4 for a new Wrangler over the weekend. Maintenance costs were eating them alive... which I tried to explain when they bought the thing, but they never listen. Just a basic Sport four cylinder automatic. They don't do any offroading, but the roads out their way are getting in pretty poor shape, so having something that can handle pot holes and gravel patches with ease will be appreciated.

Oh yeah , if you dont have a shop tools and a lift, stay away from Jeeps... lol

But that also applies to Rams :Big Laugh:

Unless you're a young buck that can handle bending over without blacking out in pain ! You need to have the love for wrenching either way.

WTF are yall doing to your Jeeps where they're constantly breaking? I'm not gentle with mine in the least. It's mostly used off-road blue and black trails, rock crawling. This thing has been solid for nearly 13 years. Been lifted on 35's since it was 4 months old. And I finally replaced the Teraflex suspension I installed back in 2012 with a MetalClock suspension last year.

*shrug*
