Purchased used from another member here, decided I wanted to make it look BAD A$$! Spent a couple of hours today prepping and painting the filter lid and wrapping the textured plastic in 4D carbon fiber. And I have to say it looks pretty awesome. Install took 30 min roughly including removing the stock intake, removing engine cover and installing breather under the cover. I also emptied my oil catch can as well. The filter lid has been painted with 650*F burnt copper (one of my favorite colors) and then cleared with 500*F engine enamel so cleaning is easier.
This color scheme and carbon fiber is going to be my theme for the truck as time goes on, just waiting to paint things like calipers and stuff as the truck is a lease and don't know what the policy is on that… even if I'm 90% sure Im going to purchase the truck at the end of the lease.
I didn't want to cut up the stock rad cover so Im going to look for a used one or aftermarket to hack up and finish the install. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure, sorry about the quality as its 2am here and pitch black so its just the camera flash.
