Just installed the new headlights

I want to thank everyone that has added input into the forum on the HID headlights/retro fitting projects. I was able to get enough info to make a good decision based on my budget. So I went with the spyder headlight assembly on ebay with the ccfl halos. I got a 55 w canbus/ballast kit with 8k HID bulbs off ebay as well. I also got a set of led switchback tubes off amazon everything was just under $300. I have seen these headlights on a few rams around me and I just wasnt a fan on the small LED lights on the inner edge. I was going to un hook those and install the tube inside, after a few mock up's I decided I liked the look of the LED light on along with the tube mounted outside. Install was easy, I did not open the headlights to install the switchback tubes, I mounted them on the outside of the lens in between my hood and grill, I feel it give the headlight a more 3 dimensional look. The HID projectors are bright enough for me, still have to adjust them one night. Here are some pics.

I like ‘em, makes the truck so unique, I don’t think I’ve seen headlights like that around here. Oh, and the video works on my IPad.

Oh yeah the output is alot better, I debated about getting name brand projectors and ballasts, but I am very happy with this setup. Even the 8K HID bulbs are still alot stronger than the OEM bulbs I had.

Thank you Rav!! Gonna get some taillights next!! Still wanna smoke the cab marker lights and probably swap out the amber cab marker bulbs with white.
