I received the VR from Moes last Friday and installed Saturday and right off the bat had a noticeable performance gain. I have it paired with an 85mm TB and I am quite pleased with throttle response and pull especially from initial throttle, trying to get a feel for the power so I have not noticed any MPG increase but haven't lost any and that's under hard acceleration so I can't wait to see what I get under normal driving!

Installation was pretty simple but had a question about the filter. I can't tell if the filter has been pre-oiled, I know they are supposed to come pre oiled but is there a way to check that?

Overall I am very happy with the product and customer service and would reccomend this to anybody looking for an intake!! :head3:

They are pre-oiled, but they use a much cleaner oil than the K&N's. If you want to shoot some oil on it for peace of mind, then that isn't a problem either. There is enough oil in that cleaner kit we sent you to clean and oil the filter about 4-5 times.

How are you liking your VR mixed with the TB? I guess it's about time to change your signature to lol.

Yeah I guess I spaced and got tunnel vision when installing and just forgot to do the photos, but as soon as I get back I should be getting the catch can so i am going to break it all back down to clean the TB and can get some good shots then.

I see that you have a Cummins and Hemi, that's awesome you modding both?

Working on the Hemi now and the Cummins is under warranty for another 3 years or until I hit 160000 kilometers... It only has like 60000 kilometers. So the 3 years will likely come first. I have been looking into mods that wont void the warranty though.

That is what brought me to this post, was going to ask about your mods and if they void warranty.

The intake and exhaust should not effect warrant unless you break something in the install. The throttle body that I received through MOE'S PERFORMANCE is OEM that looks identical to the stock you have now and as for the Oil Catch can I am unsure of. This is probably going to be what I am going to stick with since I have a extended 7 year warranty but all in all any aftermarket part put in your vehicle has to be proven that is what caused the problem if it ever comes up.

Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act is what you want to be familiar with if your willing to fight the good fight. :lazer:

Yo Nadz,

Digging the look especially with the longer coupling I was curious to see what the catch can looked like with the VR I think yours is the first I've seen and it looks like it is more accessible with out the tube and box over there. I am exited to get mine in and can't wait!!!

Vararam designed this kit off the old original hemi motors. The filter they use is the same filter you would see on and old school hemi. They just redesigned it to fit on the Ram.

Hey Guys. I'm about to be a new Ram owner was looking at getting the VR air grabber as my first mod. This thread has pretty much made me sure of it! I have a couple quick questions for you guys though...Is the VR worth the price? I'm seeing it as being a little over $700 on Moe's, Compared to mid $300's for a K&N. So why is the VR so much more expensive? Also...I'm gonna be buying a '13 1500 with the Hemi so will the VR be able to be installed on the stock truck? By looking at the picture of it, I was thinking you might need a hood scoop type deal or something. Sorry for my lack of knowledge! I'm trying to learn haha
