K&n cai

So about 2 weeks ago i decided to get a CAI. Thanks Matt

Today i finally got around to the install.

Install was pretty easy and straight forward. After a test drive, I can say so far i like it. My exhaust sounds even better with it and and at wot it has a nice roar itself. During moderate acceleration you can her it sucking in air(i guess some might consider that a negative) To me that is no big deal because i will normally drown that out with the stereo anyway...lol

It is definitely louder than it was so I'm not sure. Lol

you need to drive more to break in the muffler. I have at least 10-15k on mine already

nice i like mine so far. the only complaint i have is that after mudding ive seen some mud splatters on it. I might have to trade it in for a fully enclosed one

Buy a prefilter and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Hello All,

I just had my muffler removed and had an 16" stainless muffler put on last week. I then followed up this with installing a KNN cold air intake. I installed it and it ran good but my fuel mileage is really sucking now. I lost 3 miles/gallon...Also it seems to be not using the MDI cylinder shutdown mode nearly as much. (Probably causing the ****** gas mileage) Is there any advice you can offer? Oh and before you say re-install the stock intake...Its gone..dad stopped by and lit the burn barrel on fire and everything around it...

I followed the instructions to the T and installed everything correctly. I only let the truck idle for a few minutes after installing the new KNN... should I have let it idle for 15 minutes?


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Might want to disconnect the battery for a while the c&n should not cause any of those problems when i first put in mine i got crappy gas milage because i could not keep my foot out of it lol.
And some asked about warranty it does not effect your warranty at all.


now you guys need to paint them and make them real cai lol screw that little fender outlet. This mod makes a hell off a difference in throttle responxe and you can tell its getting alot more air.
