Here’s a new one. I’ve never encountered this with other intakes I’ve had in the past (k&n included), but anyone have any idea why this keeps happening d57be1f27735ddac2b66adf4329ae3e2.jpg
No matter how tight I have the clamp, it still works it’s way off [emoji2369][emoji848]

Try not to tighten it too much. I know it seems silly. Too tight sometimes can push in the rubber / plastic too much.

Hope that might help.

And if that doesn’t work put two of them on and see what happens. But still it does not need to be that tight.

Swap it for a t-bolt clamp instead of worm gear. Also, under engine load you must be pulling that coupler/pipe away so see if there is any slack on the backside.

Is that a reducer coupler?

You might also want to check out www.siliconeintakes.com they have any type of coupler you can think of. The nice thing about silicone is that it "grabs" the clamp better than a urethane or wrapped type like what is shown in the pic.

How tight should hose clamps be?
Tighten Them Just Enough
Most are a little fuzzy as to how tight a hose clamp should be. Too loose, and you'll have a leak; too tight, and the hose clamp will damage the hose and cause premature failure. ...

picture looks like you went way to far tightening.

I'll add, ensure the clamp is on the inner tube portion w/the hose over both. Then tighten until you can't remove the hose. But damn dude, how tight is that? Well it's just enough - if the inner plastic starts to buckle - you've gone way too tight.

Thanks, again hope this helps.
