Key fob issue

Hello my key fob does not work. Changed the batteries but still won't unlock or lock any doors. I saw somewhere the key needs to be reprogrammed but the dealers are telling me it's the key and I need to buy a new one. Anyone know if reprogramming my same key will work?

My buddy has the same issue with his Jeep. Did the dealer actually try to reprogram, or did they just tell you that and try to sell you a new one?

Called to get a quote and they told me I have 2 buy a new key. I saw on another forum there's a tsb for it

I would try another dealer. They just want your money. I think you can program one your self if you have a second key that works.
