Fob was getting weird and not always working. Took the battery out and it tested over 3 volts, which is the battery rating. Started looking at repair options, OUCH! Took a chance and ordered new batteries, and voila, all is great. Very confused, but grateful. How what should be a good battery doesnt work is beyond me. Just glad all is back to normal!

If you decide to take the fob apart, do it in a clear plastic bag. There are some little parts in there that are just waiting to go flying. The clear plastic bag will limit their flight.
I do that when taking a lot of things apart. Easier to find.
