Hey guys. Anyone having a problem with there truck not detecting their key fob. Key fob works to open truck and everything else except turning on the truck. Tried replacing the batteries but that didn't make a difference. The extra key works perfectly fine. I was just wondering if anyone knows a fix to this.

Couple of quick points: First, be sure that you are using the correct battery (CR2032). I had a "Key FOB not detected" message on my 2012 Challenger. I replaced the battery and it started working sometimes and not others. I had some CR2025 batteries next to the CR 2032 and picked up one of those by mistake. Same diameter but thinner and does not make good contact. Second possibility: Be sure that your battery is fresh. I had a keychain remote for my shop alarm system that quit working. It takes the same CR2032. I replaced the battery and it still did not work. Checked it with a meter and it read 3.2 volts but it would not work. I replaced it again with a battery that I knew to be fresh and that problem was solved.

Except for one thing...even if the battery was dead, the fob will still start the truck. You can remove the battery all together, stick the fob in the ignition, and it will start.
OP, if your spare fob does get recognized and starts the truck, I would say the other one lost communication with the WIN module or the BCM somehow.
