Key Fob not Working & Key Not Programmed Displayed on Dash

What a day. Got out of work to try and unlock my truck with no luck. The key clicker did not work at all. After opening the truck manually the alarm went off, I tried to start the truck and the alarm would not shut off nor did the truck start. When I moved the key fob to the off position the dash screen displayed “Key not programmed”. I tried disconnecting the battery entirely and connecting the negative and positive together to try to reset the electrical system. I also took apart the fob to clean it out and replaced the fob battery with no luck at starting the truck.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas before I have my truck towed to the dealer? Your help is greatly appreciate.

I was gonna say that it sounds like the battery in your fob was dead but then you said you replaced it so that is out.

I’m thinking it’s going to require the tow to the dealer unfortunately
