I am wanting to install the Kicker KX800.5 amplifier and a Kicker Front Row DSP. I think I have all the wiring figured out except for the front speakers. I'm running Kicker KS35 3-1/2 in the dash and Kicker 6.5 components in the front door. I am not sure if I want to just tap into the factory wire or run new wire, and that's where I need help. I'm confused because the front door speakers and front panel speakers are wired together. I have a 2014 Ram 1500 with the base audio system. Anybody got any advice?

I like to run new wire, but I also change up equipment enough that I need it for when I throw serious power at a set of speakers.
The next thing to think about is how the front row controls what's going on with those speakers like time alignment, level adjustments, and eq. Again I would run new wire to take advantage of it.
Maybe gray graygoose will chime in on that part though.

I would drop new wire for the dash speakers since it is as simple as dropping wire down a hole, and this way you know 100% it is separated from the doors. For the door speakers, it is useless in 90% of applications. Unless you running 150w+ to each door, it is a waste of your time and money.

Yes, add separate, as the Front Row you will be able to dial the dash in a lot better now.

?

I should have elaborated on my set up. I have 3.5 in dash, 6.5 components in the door, and 6x9 in the rear. I have a 5 channel amp and I don't know how to wire up the front door speakers and the 3.5 in the dash. I would like to use 2 channels on the amp for this since my other 2 channels are powering the rear.
