I wish i would had that offer years ago, i used to be crazy into car and home audio, since i bought this house in Aston, i kind of lost my hobbies, my ram is my new hobby! Im still rockin a Denon AVR 3806 in the house, things a beast, and put in episode in wall speakers, gave my paradigm set to my son in college☹.

I can get all lines. I’m direct with most.
Now you know for the future when that equipment needs to be upgraded.
Nice set up

Wow wow wow!

I wanted to do the upgrade but was a little nervous about install. Especially dash speakers because it seems like a tight space. I watched YouTube vids on removing front and rear door panels and I have to say it was really as easy as it looks. I can literally now take a door panel completely off and back on again in less than 10 minutes. I was really amazed how easy it hooks on and off. Most door panels are a ***** to line back up after you get them off. At least in my experience with some older vehicles.

Taking out and replacing door speakers was remove 4 screws and take out old one and put in new one and use screws that came with speakers. Did not need to drill anything and I needed the 1/4 inch spacers on all 4 and it made them fit perfectly. No issues with clearance of door panel. I did use plastic trim removal tools and that helped make this process smoother. I was able to get the 2 dash screws out with a socket and 1/4 inch socket wrench. Was room but just had to turn slow and socket keeps popping off head so it was time consuming. Reinstalling the new ones went faster.

The sound difference is really amazing. I can get to over 32 on the volume with no distortion. Bass Is pretty impressive. I know most people feel the opposite but I always like the sound better with a little more fade in the back speakers. Seems more surround sound to me but when I was researching the swap it seems like most stated they don’t prefer that type of setup.

The factory speakers are a joke. Yes, it amazes me too that for way way less than $200 retail I spent, at their cost they could just put those speakers in at the factory on every Ram and have a kick ass system out the door.

Anyway...

Went with these for the four doors

Went with these for the dash
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MDJC7NI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and grabbed 4 1/4 inch spacers
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JP5UR3U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered the door and dash harness and 10w 4 ohm resistors.

Putting them on the harness for dash speakers was pretty easy with some solder and shrink tubing. Thanks again to the others that posted the whole process on here with pics. That helped a lot.

All in all a huge win! And a shout out to my daughter who bought the speakers for me for my birthday/Father’s Day gift.

quick question, i just recently bought the 77KICK41 and 77KICK42 off ebay. got them today actually.

will i need the 1/4 inch spacers?

for the dash speakers if i decide to do the resistor, i'm seeing the Metra 72-6514 Speaker Wire Adapters, but since the speakers are a mopar kit but that wouldn't plug into the speaker, i would like to be able to make it plug and play.

i found this, but i would need the connector also (the blue piece in the pic). but not sure where to get it, i found the full repair kit on ebay but it does not include the plug

also, would these be ok for the resistors if i decide to use them?

As stated the speakers will fit in place, no spacers needed.
You'll probably want the resistors inline with the dash speakers as they will be quite harsh, may still be with the resistors.
I switched to the 77KICK28a set up for the fronts, the dash speakers have crossover capacitors already installed on them. Makes the truly a Plug-N-Play set up for the front.
