i got

2 boxes of kicker ( pair in each box ) - 6.5's for the doors
1 box of kicker 3.5 for the dash tweets
1 kicker shallow mount Subwoofer

Did your truck come with the Alpine or are you thinking about finding a factory Alpine and adding it?

I have the non alpine system. Does anyone know if the subwoofer wiring harness is there on all trucks or will I have to run one?

I've got the upgraded Alpine system and have been pretty happy with its performance compared to the Sony system from my old F-150 and Bose from my old Armada.

You're gonna need a 6x9 speaker adapter to run 6.5" round speakers in the doors.

I keep getting confused... Which speakers work with the Alpine system? Their website says both the CS and the KS work, but reading on here, one of them doesn't.

Can anybody help me with the speakers I need for the Alpine system - dash and doors?

Technically they both work. Neither are a good solution though. You want a 2-ohm speaker if you are just changing the speakers.

I have a 14 Express with 5.0 Radio/non-Alpine system and I replaced my speakers with:

dash: 3.5" round Kicker DSC350 (4 Ohm) item number: 43DSC3504
front doors: 6.5" round (with 6x9 adapters) Kicker CSC65 (4 Ohm) item number: 43CSC654
rear doors: 6x9 Kicker DSC6930 (4 Ohm) item number: 43DSC69304

Crutchfield round to 6x9 adapter: 142SA69
Metra adapters for door speakers: 72-6514
Crutchfield adapters for dash: 12071039
These 3 items come as 2 packs. You'll need two 2 packs of the Metras for the doors.


You're probably safest with the CS kit, but I'm not an expert.

That's what I was thinking. But, through Crutchfield's site, none of the speakers I can find are 2-ohm. Oh well... I don't need to hijack this thread any more. It's not like this is a "need", anyway. I'm just looking for a reason to spend money when I shouldn't and figured since they were running a sale, I'd look into it.

The Infinity REF line is 20% off from there website. These would work.
