DONT LAUGH. Only had this 2017 longhorn for 2 months. Every time i hook up my ipod or turn on the radio, I have to push the mute button to stop listening. How do you shut the damn thing off!
The system is a uconnect with nav.

It's a UConnect.,... nuff said ;)

You will likely need a software update.
The UConnect system is a know PITA system!
I knew this going in when I bought new in 19'.
I dealt with it for a while under warranty and then had enough of the BS with this stock system.

I now have a Kenwood higher end double din head unit and have zero issues and a much better ownership experience, too!

It doesn't "turn off" about the only thing you can do is turn the volume all the way down, selecting an unused media input might work also.

On my 22 uConnect 5, you turn it off by pushing in on the volume button.
Depending upon the year, the older systems did not "turn off".
