Knock sensor fault code after header install

Got my headers in today. What a pain in the ass. And I am worried they do not fit properly as the crosspipe is touching the ******* tranny pan! Actually just typing that, maybe thats the reason its "knocking"?

Anyways. Installed headers and I get a p0325 knock sensor bank 1. If I idle or keep the rpms low, it will not go off but if I jump on it, it will immediately throw the code. I do NOT get a check engine light but I can read the code on the trinity and the power is not there. Any ideas?

I tried a 91 tune with 91 octane (same tune Ive been running fine) and then dropped to an 87 tune to see if it would go away but it does not.

If the pipe is touching the pan theres a very good chance thats causing the knock code. It could be just enough vibration to make the computer think its a knock.

Yeah, thats exactly what I thought as I typed my OP. Now I just need to get in contact with ARH which probably wont be till tomorrow ;/ I could do NOTHING to get it off the ******* tranny pan. Its pretty ******* frustrating that an item of this "quality" has this kind of an issue.

I would see if they have a fix for it. if not and they say youre on your own, i would drop the pipe and hammer it until it clears the pan. Ive never dealt with ARH personally but when i worked at an exhaust shop we ran into it a few times with pipes making contact and setting a knock code

Turns out it wasn't arh. I purchased a new set of headers from a forum member (he never installed them). I asked about the part number I needed for 8 speed trans and asked him to check. He confirmed it was the part number I asked for. Turns out it was not and it was for the ******* 6 speed tranny. What a mess I have now. I do not even want to drive the truck. Arh is helping me out with a new ypipe and crossover pipe just don't know the cost yet. I'm half tempted to rip them off and ask for a refund
