Ive been looking for pics for how the drivers side crosses over. Looks like the Kooks midpipe crosses over after the trans pan and the ARH crosses underneath the trans pan. Am i looking at the correct pictures?

If anyone has pics, please post them up.

At the ball flange?

Yes sir, all it cam with was flimsy clamps. ARH come with 3 bolt flange so the headers and mid pipe bolt together. Might be a 2 bolt flange, can't remember specifically. But 2 or 3 is better than a clamp.

Oh wow that sucks. The kooks on my jeep had the 2 bolt flange from header to mid. I took for granted they would be same

Come on guys, out of the 222 views not one had kooks or arh? Just trying to confirm if ARH crosses directly under the tranny pan= excessive heat for pan

Sorry man, I have JBA's and scoured ARH threads and couldn't find any pics. Lots of people have ARH, so should be able to get pics eventually.

I tried searching too but no luck also. How do you like the JBA's? Where does the mid pipe cross over with those?

I like them, fitment is tight but the improvement was worth it. I had a nightmare install due to various issues. Pretty sure it crosses under the trans pan, but I'll snap a pic to confirm when I get home from work.

JBA's midpipe crosses over under the tranny . Wrap the midpipe with header wrap,it'll keep the heat in the midpipe, and off the tranny pan

Thanks. The reason for asking is i think the kooks crosses after the tranny. But read somewhere someone had a problem with kooks leaking at the header/mid connection. And it just has a clamp style instead of the 2 bolt ball flange like just about all their other systems. Makes decisions not easy...lol

Here's the JBA pics. Looks like there's about 2 inches clearance between the pan and mid. Plenty of room for a wrap.IMG_20180420_150622.jpg IMG_20180420_150659.jpg

Don't quote me on this, but I think most of the aftermarket midpipes cross over under the tranny,if they cross over behind the crossmember/tranny,i don't think they'll fit onto the stock exhaust system, and the majority of aftermarket midpipes are designed to hook back up to the stock exhaust. My JBA midpipe has been wrapped for well over 2 years and there's not even any surface rust on it,so if rusting out your midpipe is what's holding you back from looking into header wrapping it,i wouldn't worry.I don't post pics here, but if you have a FB page you like,i'll post pic's of my midpipe on there if you want to see it.

I appreciate it but i dont have FB. I believe ya....;). Yeah my main concern was the heat with the pipe crossing the trans pan. And your right, the more i look, i noticed they all cross over at that spot. I must of saw a wrong pic with it after the trans. This is the reason i went with kooks for the jeep back in 08 rather than the other available at the time.
FML.....now to figure which to go with...lol. Im leaning towards kooks at the moment. It has slip joints instead of 2 bolt ball flange but i think the clearance will be better?

Yup under the pan, but it goes down too low (under the frame iirc)
