Guys, decided that I might as well install the Lamin-x tint that I ordered for my fogs so that they don't steal your attention when looking at the front end. I didn't realize the stuff had been delivered until I was leaving to take the pictures I posted earlier, so I figured I would put it off for a while...that lasted a few hours.
First of all, just the feel of the stuff will tell you it's high quality. When I read that it was vinyl, I was a little weary. I've used vinyl before to black out the b-pillars on my '04 and will use the same stuff to change the OEM matte black b-pillar blackouts on my '10 to gloss...but this stuff is totally different. It literally feels like a stack of five or more sheets of regular vinyl (and the stuff I use is intended to letter Navy aircraft....don't ask
). This stuff is THICK. I just followed the "wet" instructions and it took me a whopping total of 15 minutes - start to finish.
I'm also shocked, but it doesn't seem like it blocks much if any of the light output. Now, I have HIDs, but still, it didn't block much and I can't see it being much worse with halogens. I will DEFINITELY be ordering their kit to do my tails!

(man it looks like I chose the right darkness to match my heads!)
