Are the headlights that come with the Laramie package better than the quad headlights on the Bighorn edition? What is the main difference?

Laramie are HID with LED turn signals.

Just projectors instead of quads I assume

Guess it is a Matter of opinion ?

the projectors have DRL though

If you have quads you have to install switchback bulbs to have them

Laramie has DRL capability but is not activated in the US. I had the dealer do mine during their pre-delivery service.

The Laramie headlamps in their stock form are still not the best but they are much better than the standard lamps. They also give the truck a better look and presence IMO. They are much more detailed. Same goes for the LED tail lamps.

The projectors on the Laramie headlamps work well with an HID conversion. The reflector construction of the quads doesn't.

The LED turn signals in the Laramie headlights are very nice compared to the quad incandescent bulbs.

thats pretty much the differences right there...

Looks are the each own opinion...

LED turn signals on the Laramie headlights are much nicer and brighter than the regular quads....

all rams have the DRL option, if your ram doesnt have it turned on the dealer will have to activate it, typically the DRL on the Laramie headlights is the LED signals and the DRL on the quads is the low beam headlight...

neither Ram came with HIDs factory but HIDs do work very well in the Laramie projector headlight...

Ultimately the decision to switch to Laramie headlights boils down to do you want the look of them and is it worth the price to you will havet to pay, side by side in OEM stock setup the Laramie projector headlights are a little better at lighting up the road than the quads, but the difference is not enough to justify the cost especially when you can look into other lighting upgrades for the quads that will be cheaper and can provide great output

DRL turns just the headlights(highs or lows depends on the vehicle and headlight type) usually when the vehicle is in gear and usually at a reduced power.
