So I screwed up today hard. I put a 2 inch scratch on my 2014 white ram white a drill bit. On a speck it went right down to the bare metal. For the time being to keep ot from the elements I took a quick finger full of nu finish just so the elements would bead off. How do I go about fixing this? Factory paint spot treatment? Scratch doctor? Paint and then wax job? I've fixed small scratches on my old truck with wax and scratch doctor but this one is really deep and that just won't cut it. Any help is appreciated.

The right way would be sanding it out and painting an area larger than the spot. You'll never get it right with just a touch up. I'd probably take it to a body shop and have them look at it, a lot of times they will be honest on the best way to go about it

Honestly, I did scratch repair for a couple years at a new car dealer I worked at thru college plsu detailing.. Best thing I did for the dealer to avoid body shop is do about 2-3 light fill ins with touch up paint from dealer paint code, wet sand 1k, 1500, 2k, then buff.. This is similar to the painting process but cheaper and easier. Not sure if you're comfortable using this process but its really the only way to avoid body shop
