Really !! Lemon Law for a leaking sun roof? Sorry but that is almost a waste of use for a decent consumer support law. Hope it gets fixed, I do NOT do sunroofs, never have and won't. People tend to do things that mess them up, not saying you did but hey things happen. Good luck.

It's not the fact that the sunroof leaks it is the damage that that leak is causing. Water is obviously the worst thing for the interior of a vehicle, or a house or anywhere you don't want mold spores to grow, some of which can kill you.

You don't get the lemon law for a bad ball joint, but if it causes a severe vibration and they are poor mechanics that can't figure out what the problem is, then yes, you get protection under the law.

Yes Really, Maybe I didn't explain it enough. If it were your truck that you had planned on keeping for 15 plus years and it leaked so bad that you could no longer drive one of your children due to allergies from mold and after being in the shop for near 40 days you would think differently. Lets just throw in the fact that it rained an incredible amount this summer and you could not even drive it due to the amount of moisture on the INSIDE of the windows, not even to mention the rust, on all the metal bolts and latches....mold growing on carpet and seats and the fact that FCA didnt take me seriously until I started a Lemon Law case. Better yet, I will just send a picture or 2, maybe a video, so you can see if you could live with the truck.

I feel there are legit reasons for lemon law, and "stretching" reasons.

While I agreed with @firemedic's case about the heated seat feature not working (not everyone did, because its "just" the heated seats), a leaking sunroof is an even better case. That pic above is telling enough....oddly enough, I get some moisture on the inside of my windshield as well, no sunroof here and its only on the top 3" so I wasnt sure if it was a leak or not.

But full of moisture like that is crazy. Along with rusting bolts and mold? Yeah, legit case. I know on the surface it sounds like a first world issue (oh heavens, my sunroof is leaking!) but clearly the results of that leak are a lot worse than the leak itself.

Wow, that is crazy.

The fact they havent already tried to do more (including replace the truck) for such an obvious issue is beyond me.

Who on earth thinks that is acceptable?

I have a 2014 Laramie and it looks like we took the exact same pictures of the back seats . I had a leak also every time it rained and it ended up being the 3rd brake light leaking into the headliner and coming out behind the rear seat and the rear headliner hand supports

I avoid buying a vehicle with a sunroof as it is something I seldom used when I had one in my coupe and it is an unnecessary point of failure with problems with seals and the motor and controls.

I have multiple dealers in my area and only one that I trust to repair my truck. No need to keep taking the same problem with a Ram or other truck back to the same dealer. Insanity has been said to keep repeating the same behavior or action and expecting a different outcome.

Your story is a good part of the reason I would never buy a used vehicle from a dealer. I have no history of repairs or service issues with such a vehicle whereas with a private party I can get these records and if a seller does not have the service records then I do not buy from them. This is also where Carfax is completely worthless and a waste of money.

a line or 2 of the 5 pages from the shop, Didn't show all because I have a Lemon Law case open now. That fact that when I dropped it off, the mechanic opened the door and said (whoa, I smell it already) Ill send a few more pics when I can. Notice the word ( Excessive ) used many times to describe the water, rust and mold by the mechanic.

With all of that stuff out, did they have half a brain to try and pour water all over the outside of the truck and look for leaks while INSIDE?

Hi tastysuds,

We're so sorry this is happening! If you can DM us with your VIN or FCA case number (if you have one), we can ensure this is looked into.

We have ram care specialists in here?
Ram care was contacted 3 times already, they did nothing..... They were all for helping me out until they found out that an FCA lawyer had contacted me, then they said they don't want to step on any ones toes.... I guess but my toes.. I picked up the truck Saturday, I just looked at the rear seat area today as I worked all weekend. In the repair invoice they said they replaced the rear seat cover and foam seat along with all the rusted parts. THEY ABSOLUTELY DID NOT. Still my original stained seat covers, still rust on all the seat brackets. I believe they did replace the carpet. I will take pictures of the rust tomorrow and the seat cover and post on here. Do they really think their customers are that stupid.

Ram care, I have a binder of information, videos, pictures, invoices, dates with times and names, mold test results ...… need I go on. I was happy to work with FCA on a replacement vehicle. It got me nowhere. I purchased 2 vehicles from you in 1 year. You are about to lose a customer for good. You forced me to go the Lemon Law route, was not my choice. I have been lied to so many times by your company. I will start to put all of the information up here for the public to see starting next week. I am getting to the point where I will no longer buy a Dodge Ram. I will end up taking the buy back, and going to another manufacturer. For people following this, wait to see how patient I have been and the amount of paperwork and problems I have with this vehicle. Just for starters, 2 different dealerships have caused damage to the paint, all acknowledged and signed for BEFORE I leave the dealership with pictures. I just picked it up on Saturday and my drivers seatbelt doesn't work now...it did before... does anyone know how I can load videos on here, I tried but it said the file was too big. I tried to compress but that would not work. Still too big.

I hear you,,, I know everyone has their favorite manufacturer. I really thought the Ram was a nice truck and a good value but the company does not stand behind the product. My last truck had 1 recall and other than that, never gave me a problem in 17 years. Neither did my truck before that, or my van before that, all Chevy. I know that every manufacturer has problems here and there but it just sucks that I have this mess with my first Ram product, that is, if you don't count the Durango I bought a few months ago that had a sunroof that would not open the day I picked it up... had to be repaired a week later as I was going on vacation.
