Ran into another Sport Blackout this weekend at Home Depot so of course I had to park next to it and snap a pic. This is the only other Sport Blackout that I've seen besides mine in person. It was a crew cab and mine is a quad.

All I have left to do is swap the Chrome Sport Rims out for some black ones and get rid of the chrome side steps. Hoping there is someone crazy enough out there that would swap mopar stock black ones for the chrome ones!

Don't really feel like plasti dipping the side steps at all.

I'm converting my 2002 into a black edition. It was originally silver, but I blacked out the entire truck. Everything aside from the wheels and bumpers which I will replace. Hopefully I'll find someone who wants to trade chrome for paint.
Anyway, it's almost done. Every day I finish a bit more. Looks great. Looks like Dodge had a black edition in 2002!
When it's done I'm selling it and buying a new black edition.

I love the fact you can get ANY trim level in a 2500 with the blackout package. They look so awesome. I just wish they did dule exhaust like the 1500's, side exit tho. Not straight out the back.

I said I would never buy a black truck after my 2007 power wagon which was brilliant black pearl. My first choice was actually grey like my 2011 mineral grey metallic power wagon. However I purchased a black sports group reg cab last week. It's currently on the dealership hoist awaiting its lift and other goodies. I should have it Monday. Here's a pic I snapped in the lot the day I purchased
