My truck got leveled yesterday, just a level no new shocks or anything, it did get an alignment. I'll be driving down the road hit like a little hole maybe and there is a sound like a knock, then turning a corner as well, not all the time though. What is that? And only since the level has been done. :uhoh2:

I'm thinking near the right side, I'll have to take it for a drive and do some good turns and see.

Same here. It almost sounds like my shocks are bottoming out. I leveled mine by two inches. I didn't think I'd need new shocks for that...

As far as I know/have heard stock shocks will bottom out on a level, chances are that's what your hearing.

So what can be used? I've seen mention of Bilsteins which I don't have the money for right now. I work in the car biz so I have access to plenty of aftermarket vendors at cheap prices. How do you go about getting longer (?) shocks? How do they measure them?

Find the replacement shocks that you want then order the ones that are for a lift. Usually 1"-2" or 1-3".... if that brand has them. A lot of makers have longer shocks for leveled applications.

Yeah for a level you will need a shock that is rated for around a 2" lift, essentially what you raised the front of your truck. That will give you the extra shock travel you need.

Yeah took it out today for a drive its when I hit a bump, take a corner (sometimes) or just go straight it isnt CV joints or anything is it? I got the Easy Lift 2" ... how long can I drive it until something bad happens? Also, you'd think the truck accesory place would of said something about that  they also gave me the old keys, so did they just crank my torsion bar? Ugh

Your symptoms are all signs of your shocks being to short. I've seen guys drive on a level with stock shocks for 30,000 miles before getting new ones with no problems.

The Kit you had installed is are re-indexed torsion keys, they do the same thing as cranking your torsion bars with stock keys they just allow you to no have to cranked the keys as far.

As far as shocks go i'd recommend bilstien 5100's, i have them on all 4 corners of my truck and love them over the stock shocks.

It's really hard to diagnose without hearing or seeing the truck. If the shocks are too short you will hear/feel them over extend on their rebound after a bump and not on the compression side. If you can narrow it down to that I would lean that direction. If you could post a video that would also help.
As far as the level goes.....pretty much so... They sold you something that you didn't need, charged you to install it only to crank your torsion bars which you could have done yourself with a socket and wrench.. The stock keys have well over 2" of adjustment and would have achieved the same result for free.
Aftermarket torsion bar keys are one of the biggest gimmicks for IFS trucks.

Buying new shocks that are longer is probably a good idea anyway, chances are that you still have the OE shocks which are worn out by now.. If so your ride will improve greatly by a quality set of shocks..

While they had the truck apart they noticed I had a worn out transmission mount and were shocked I didnt have any vibration so what they did is they ordered the part from Dodge and are going to replace it when it comes in, he said that could also be it. He priced me out some Rancho's he said they are on the F350's and that they are 17.5" they will be in on Wednesday and they will make sure that it is my shocks when they replace the transmission mount and then put in the new shocks if that is the case.

I don't know if you got your problem fixed but I had this same problem. I threw on a 2" level kit which was just spacers on top of the front coils. I would get a random knock coming from my front end. It turned out that the bolt adapters that came with the spacers were not tight and the spacer was actually knocking against the top of the a-arm where it sat. Not sure if it came loose after driving it for a few weeks or if it was not tight to begin with. Had to pull the whole front end apart again and got everything tightened up and have not had a problem since.

if you didnt upgrade shocks, then that means your stock shocks are at its max hieght and have no movement anymore. depending on the lift, you now have really rigid suspension, you will need taller shocks
