My 2012 is at the shop getting a 4" Zone lift installed. I stopped by at 5:00 yesterday to see how things were going, and the thing was a friggin monster. With just the Bilsteins set at 2.1", I had 37-3/4" at the front wheel well. So take away the 2.1", and my stock height would be 35-3/4". Now, I was going to have the Bilseins installed at 0.7" to level things a bit, so that would be 35-3/4" (stock) + 4-3/4" (lift) + 1" (for the bigger tires) = 41-1/2" at the front wheel well. Perfect. I get to the shop, and the front is measuring 43-3/4" !!! Holy crap !!! He says he moved the Bilstein snap ring down to 0.7", but who knows. Could he have installed the lower spring seat upside down on the Bilstein and added the extra height ? What else could cause the extra height ? I'm kinda freakin out here. The way it is, I'll never fit in the garage, and it's runnin nose high, even with the 3" rear spring. Any input would really help.

Did you measure from the ground to the top of the wheel well? My 2014 with a 5" lift measured 42.5" in the front and 43.25 in the rear. That's with the stock tires as well. I did a 2" front level, 1.5" rear level, and 3" body lift

It will most likely settle a bit.
However I've heard there's only an inch difference between the Zone 4" and 6". Not sure if the 4" is tall or the 6" is short.

OK, the fire is out. The numb nut tech had the spring seats upsidedown. I'm guessing it was his "I don't need no stinkin instructions" attitude . . . They pulled him off of the job. Man I wish I had the time, tools, and know-how to do this stuff myself.

Wow, I certainly wouldn't trust the rest of the install if he got the easy part wrong.

They pulled him, and put their "best guy" on it. They said he would go over everything already done, and then finish the job. I talked to him ... I feel pretty good about it

It happens to the best of us. Best thing you can do is follow up like you have. Reality is until you get more knowledge and all the nifty tools, your stuck just doing follow up on someone else.
When I do my lift, I think I'm going to need a week vacation to assure myself I've done it right.
Think of all the grinning your going to do when your driving it home....

I have the tools, know-how, time, and access to a full clean shop with a lift(for $) to do my lift myself. But I'm not. Just don't want to deal with it. Sometimes it's best to leave it to those who do it everyday.

I did this at first, had it in backwards. Thought to myself, no way in hell this spring should run this far down. The instructions could have been a little clearer if it fits both way IMO. I fixed before they were even back in the springs.

I don't trust "mechanics" enough for work like lifts. IMO, no one will care as much about my truck as I do.
