I’m looking at getting just the front end of a 4” lift kit. I’ve custom done my rear for hauling and comfort but want to go from my 2.8” level to a true 4”. What’s the best way to go about this?

You can choose any of the 4" bracket front end lifts. Pro-comp, Superlift, Rough Country, BDS, Zone etc.

[email protected] is able to get you the front box components separately of having to buy a whole lift kit.

Assuming you're a 4x4

If your RWD check out Maxtrac's 4.5 front spindle lift.

I went with hellwig sway bar, core 4x4 end links track bar and control arms , spring spacers, bilstein 5160, updated bump stops, air bag helpers and brake line updates. It’s just out for powder coating

Depending on how much lift you have in the rear you may need to look into a track bar drop bracket to help keep your axle in the proper position.

The Carli drop down track bracket is added insurance to bring that bar closer to flat.

For me I like angles that are closer to stock so I used the drop trackbar bracket from Maxtrac and Pro-comp rear control arm drop brackets along with Core's 5 link tier 3 system. With the adjustable arms if I want to lift the rear more I can.

Adjustable track bar is a bandaid fix. You are extending the articulation arc of motion by extending the track bar and that could put excess strain on the suspension because now it is moving side to side more so than it’s supposed to. A drop bracket keeps the stock rear axle articulation arc and reduces yaw from suspension travel. I would order the Carli bracket at least to shorten your track bar closer to stock length. Also if you are lifting the rear 4” as well than you need more than just adjustable control arms. You can lift up to about 2” in the rear without to much work.

I honestly cannot agree with Core 4x4 and bandaid fix being in the same sentence :console:

the adjustable track bar is a band aid fix. Without a proper tack bar drop you are throwing your suspension out of the stock articulation by extending the track bar.
edit: I’m not saying core 4x4 parts are a bandaid fix. They are awesome and have proven their worth to many people but without properly realigning your suspension you can cause unwanted body motion during suspension travel

This response is for those that have never tried the adjustable suspension pieces like Core 4x4.
The adjustable trackbar simply centers the rear axle from left to right. It also stabilizes the vehicle by keeping the axle planted. There is nothing bandaid about what it gives you.

If your track bar is not level, than yes, It is a bandaid. I’m fully aware of what upgrading the control arms and track bars do for these trucks. Most lift kits include Track bar drop brackets for a reason. Carli even offers a 3/4” drop bracket for their rear lift springs. For a reason.

Change of plans, short term going 2” in the suspension and keeping the level up front for now. Going to wait and purchase everything needed and start sending parts out for powder coating. IMG_1249.jpg
