Since no one had anything to say about light force lights what would be a good spot long range lights that give good light out put and not going to brake my bank

Those light force lights look pretty good maybe there is someone that runs those and will chime in just give it a little more time. Seems like there are a lot of guys running Hella's. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what is said!

then what is a good choice for hellas in the mean time just to take a look at them?

I think there are a few running the Hella 500's or something like that. I would just do a search on the forum to see what comes up. There are vendors here that will give you some good deals!

I've got the 170s on the front of my truck. I also have a set of KC LED Clusters which waaaay outperform the lightforce lights. I've considered HIDing the LF housings, but just haven't done it yet.

What you gotta do is wait for someone looking to sell a set online.. and get a really good deal on them. :)

The light output/spread/colour is 100% better than the halogen 170s... HID170s would likely be similar output...

Here's some pics I posted here a while ago...

Note: My lightforce are pointed at the ditches.. ie the warm spot on the right fringe of the road... its hard to even see the light with the amount of illumination the LEDs throw.

The LED lights are mounted between my lightforce lights on my grill-guard.

The lights come equipt with a wiring harness but need IIRC a relay, and the wiring from there to your trigger. I don't recall if they have the fuse-pocket or not, but I don't think they did.

Oh, and a quick side note too.. the pics were taken with my blackberry torch.. not a properly calibrated DSLR which is what I should have used...

I found a set on ebay for about what I paid for them... it does come with a relay by the looks of it..

im still kinda stuck on the light force lights because i can adjust the beam to what i want and the fact that i can put hid's in there is all the better.

Well i run 4 hella 500ffs, and i have HIDs on order to put em in there. its not difficult to put HIDs in the hellas, and its really cheap, hella 500s are only $80 and HIDs around $40

We run lightforce lights exclusively up at work in alaska. I also own a few sets myself. For the money you cannot buy a better light. Constructed completely of lexan and with a modular design so that if you somehow manage to break a piece you can buy just that piece instead of a whole light. They will beat on a set of hellas all day long IMHO.
