So, I order what I thought would be really good spec d tuning headlights. Well, on the website they set plug and play application but come to find out that thats just for the basic light which doest put off very much light at all. So, i finally got it wired to wear my low beams are the two halo rings, the 3 LED lights, and the bar. And my high beams arent that but rather two actual light bulbs. Well I installed them back in the summer and at the time they work for me. But now they are just not cutting it. I really want them brighter because when I drive at night, the low beams (halo rings and what not) make it impossible to drive at night so I always have to use the high beams but even the high beams arent very bright. Also, my bright indicator on my dash is always on when my lights are on whether on low or high beam. So, my question is, how in the hell do I make them brighter or are they just like that? Also, I was looking at just black headlight housing so I could use my sock bulbs and dont have to worry about wiring. Let me know what you guys think. I really need some help on this because im driving around in the dark a lot more in the winter so I need some safe lights.

The pics look like they are just fine but trust me they arent lol And im just talking about my regular lights. Not my fog lights or the ones behind the grill. And even with all those lights on I can barely see.

im surprised that you didnt see any of the threads bashing the halos. IMO halos suck really bad unless you have a professional to install them (so if they do it wrong you can make them fix it) you can get "anzo" style lights that are plug n play and just have different housings. they function like OEM but look better. probably shouldnt have gone with halos....

sounds like this is your problem if the wrong one it WILL cause the bright indicator on all the time when lights are on and have ****** light output go ahead ask me how I know lol just something to look into

The eBay ones are decent, they're what I have. Only prob is there's no adjustment and there's a significant hot spot with not as much spill as I'd like. I still have to adjust mine and figured that some washers between housing and mount would work best.

That's what I had to do with me spec ds. Low beams work better than highs on mine cuz I can't aim the highs for ****. I'm going to change over to the assemblys in the link and out some 6ks in em

Yea, I'm a little worried with the wiring for the HIDs so I'm thinking just better assembly first and then I may do the HIDs down the road.

I'm not using halos. I hate them. I also hate the after-market headlights. Poor quality and no adjustment. For the price I paid, I shouldn't have to come up with a way to adjust them. I'm eventually going back to stock.
