Geesh. I swear no one has ever financed a thing in there life here. Well a few not all. I actually have zero credit cards. Anyways. I appreciate the tire advice. I’ll have you know for everyone that is concerned about the way i choose to buy my tires I’m putting 25000 down on my truck with my trade and another 3500 cash. Make all you tire finance scared people feel better? For anyone that isn’t single it’s pretty hard to justify just blowing 2000 bucks on a want vs a need so it’s why I chose to do it this way. At the end of the day it really doesn’t matter what way you slice it. It’s still 2000 bucks a guy doesn’t need to spend but if you look around the power wagon forum there’s hardly anyone who runs stock stuff for long.
Here's today's lesson, kids.....
* Some guys have huge egos and can't admit that maybe, just maybe, their idea isn't the best....As I said earlier....who cares - it's your money. People simply gave their opinion and you scoffed at each one.
* "tire finance scared people" Nothing for us to be scared about. Your the one who's tires will be off the truck and shredded while still paying for them (but at least you'll have that $2700 in the bank)
* Having "zero credit cards" is not a good idea for credit purposes because it doesn't provide a history of making on-time payments and showing financial responsibility to the credit agencies.
* I have 2 credit cards and haven't paid a dime in interest since I was 20. I use them as opposed to carrying loads of cash or using a debit card. I also collect the points.
* It's not hard for me to spend money on a want vs a need. I don't need to hide from or fool my wife about my purchases. If we can afford it, then we buy what we want because we're in a pretty good financial situation. Out of respect, I will say "I'm ordering a $1000 tonneau cover" or "I'm getting some decent tires put on the truck, they're about $1200", etc.
* You're a person who will begrudge any mindset that is different than your own. I suppose the forum is good for lowly tire advice but how dare anyone offer basic financial opinions.
* I've wasted enough of my time with this topic. Enjoy the new tires.
