They want that long paper money with the big FACES!! I'm in MA and they want that as well. I have a 15 so I got on my creeper with about 5 cans of undercoating and went to town. Threw in a bedcover and have my bakflip. Maybe in a couple of years but hell no to $600...

I got something close to that here in Florida. That was an e-mail quote though. We have a few truck places I feel will be (or hope will be) closer to $300-400.

Ospho is pretty good on rust. At least down here in Florida. Stuff is amazing. I've used the autoparts store bed liner stuff and it worked great. And 1 gallon would probably do a short bed. It wasn't enough on an 8ft bed. Seems like it was $100 a gallon. That's what we used in the landscape company for the beds.

Wow, that is crazy expensive.

Like xrsman said; that's Canada pricing. Then factor in the exchange rate. It would run you almost $800 CAD.

Anyway, back to your question. I haven't heard too many good things about DIY bedliner's; it seems to be hit or miss and mostly miss--but that's from what I've read, I can't say from personal experience.

i paid $600. seems expensive at first, but after you price out what a good DIY kit costs (not that crap you buy at autozone), the gun, sanding pads, etc and your time to spray it on its reasonable. plus the warranty.

Shop around if you can, it seems to vary widely from the $400's to $700's + in certain areas.

A little off topic but I called a line x company to see how an under coating, rocker panel, etc would cost. They quoted me for their "off road under body" treatment at $960.00. It may be more surface area than the bed of your truck but damn!

Around here it depends on what level of line-x you get. But I think I got quoted around $500 for my 6.5 ft bed.

As for the do it yourself ones, I have never seen one that matches the quality of Line-X.

I did a Herculiner (parts store stuff) that I actually bought from some place on clearance years ago. I forgot what truck I had back then but I did good prep and then this stuff actually got put on with a roller. It dried to a little softer to the touch feel than the line-x but to me it held up great. I would do that product again way before anything else. Right now I have the big rubber mat on the tail gate and in the bed. My knees don't like kneeling on the hard metal so I chose that this time. I say go Herculiner!

Mine was just under $600 for Line-X, but it's a lifetime warranty and it'll never fade. So naturally I abuse the **** out of it and I don't care.
