Did you weigh it? Unless the truck was really loaded you were probably closer to 16,000. Just a guess. My son has an Imagine 2670MK with a dry weight of 6600lbs (about 800lbs higher than yours). He was loaded heavy and the TT weighed 8100lbs (GVWR on his TT is about 8500lbs). We scaled it with his 2018 2500 6.4 4.10's and it came in at 16,180lbs. That was with a full tank of fuel and me and him both in it. He also had a bunch of stuff in the back seat. We were headed to Baytown, TX. He pretty much lives in his TT for work so he is always towing heavy. Truck was 8100lbs and TT was also 8100lbs. Not being argumentative at all, just for awareness and information.

My step-son just bought a 2021 Imagine 3250BH and I towed it 100 miles from the dealership with my 2018 2500 6.4 4.10's (my truck and my sons are identical). We weighed it at 17,260lbs. The TT weighed 9300lbs. Absolutely no trouble at all towing it.

Either way, I agree with your assessment. My son has towed his 2670MK about 8000 miles across the country and has not ever felt he needed more power.

No it’s just a guesstimate and might be an over estimate but I know it’s heavier than usual due to the fact we brought the whole house with us it seems like. We’ve never been on this long of a trip before. We are carrying a generator and fuel for the generator too. I have a weigh safe hitch and the tongue weight is at 1100lbs and that’s about 150lbs more than usual too. But yeah it still did great. The dry weight on mine is over 6100 per the sticker on the side.

Yeah my son was at 1100lbs tongue weight too. His weights weren't 100% accurate because we didn't weigh his truck separately but I have the exact same truck with the exact same option. The window stickers are literally identical except the color and some prices since they were built a few months apart. But I had weighed mine so went off of the weight of my truck but should be very close.

Here is my weigh slip from the other day. I had 3/4 tank of fuel and was by myself. When we weighed his there was me and him (add about 180lbs for him), a full tank of fuel (add about another 50lbs) and he had a bunch of stuff in the back seat and the bed. We figured about 400lbs extra there so add about 630lbs to my weigh slip.

With these numbers it looks like the truck was about 8010lbs. That makes the TT 8170lbs. His GVWR on the TT was about 8500lbs so he was getting close there. That leaves 1110lbs tongue weight. He couldn't find his tool to unhook the WDH bars so we didn't get a weight on just the truck that day. They were buried under everything...lol

This was his 2670MK with his truck with the TT loaded pretty heavy:
