Long time Ford guy

I'm still a Ford guy and been one since I was kid. But I've had a chevy 1500, wife has a 15 Town and County and I have a 15 Ram. But's it's been Ford Rangers, Mustangs, Cobra, 2 Lightnings, even an escape with the eco 2.0 that ran great. But any brand, make or model will have it's issues. Honestly, all my fords had zero big issues. Minor things that have normal wear and tear or easy fixes. My 05 Expedition, the time I sold it had 180K miles. But it has seen Seattle Washington to the grand canyon, mount rushmore, to north Carolina. The only issue was the AC went out but I replace everything and it ran great again. Same with that chevy 1500. Had 240K miles. Seen FL all the way up to Michigan and back. Minor tune ups and she ran great. I'm just hoping this Ram does the same thing. So far it just has the clunk when you go from a hard stop. Other than that, it's great.

Good information, and a great read, and very informative!
But its all basically still made with the same materials, just some upgrades to the design of the 5.7 hemi engine... its still a hemi.
Don`t get me wrong here, i still think the hemi is the best engine out there, in this platform. And i`m not looking to split hairs here either.
If i didnt think it wasn`t a good engine, i wouldn`t have kept buying the hemi trucks since 2003 when i bought my first hemi in late 2002.
There is no doubt in my mind, that they improved on its design, these engines have proved themselves to be very worthy, and great mpg.

And, i would push my RAM with my cold dead hands before i would EVER be caught driving a **** or a chubbie

One major reason is I am bored with the Ford Interior. I also think the RAM rides superior. But that Eco is a beast, however I missed the V8 growl. Also my Laramie Longhorn interior is drop dead gorgeous. People open the door and it just stops them cold. And now I am learning there are all sorts of ways to hyper mile this hemi.

Fair Enough!!! We`ll let it slide just THIS one time!
I agree, these RAM trucks smoke anything else out there for comfort, and interior. Everything else seems so out dated and boring.

my 2012 Bighorn has a nicer interior and superior ride compared to the 2019 Fords and GMs out there. And the Hemi kicks ass without the need of a turbo--however it is always thirsty-but so am I !!!! I will buy another RAM for sure-but not untill 2025 -as my 2012 still runs as new!!!

I had my '99 Dakota SLT for 12 years. I had to replace the water pump, and ball joints. It had 130,000 mils when I made the mistake of selling it.

So I saved my money. I went to buy a new full sized truck. I wanted the new, at the time, Twin Turbo EcoBoost F150. I had a lot of questions because I hadn't bought a truck for 12 years. The salesman at Ruxer Ford in Jasper treated me like I was a dumb kid. I had enough cash to buy a new 4X4 F150. And I had enough of his disrespectful attitude.

So I went right down the road to the Chrysler dealership and saw my 2011 dark green quad Sport. The Ford I had driven drove like a big car. They hadn't taken all the truck out of the Dodge. Even tho it's exhaust was stock, the sound of the Hemi was and still is, addicting.

I grew to hate the 3.55 final gears. But I swapped them for 4.10s. That was fairly cheap and easy back then. I added a few other mods because I could. Dodge and I have put together the best truck for me. The new ones are nice, but I still like what I have.

I've heard people say this all my life about every vehicle manufacturer (US manufacturers anyway, never heard anyone say they'd push a nissan before driving a honda). Perhaps I'm just lazy, or maybe I just dont love any one brand that much, but I'd drive a friggin Yugo before I pushed ANY vehicle.
