I bought and intended to install 13mm hub-centric spacers to give me clearance for 12.5" tires.

However it appears the stock studs are not long enough and my mechanic can't find any that are longer.

They thought they found a place that could make them custom, but turned out not to be the case.

The only option they can offer is bolt-ons, with a minimum of 1" spacing. I really hesitate to go this route because, first of all, anything more than stock is not great to begin with. 1/2" is all I "need" to clear 12.50s. I really don't want another 1/2". Plus, at another 1/2" I will almost certainly need to replace the factory fender "flares" with some real ones to keep the stone chips to a minimum.

At this point, if I can't find studs I'm more inclined to get aftermarket wheels with the necessary offset, but not crazy about that either as I have yet to find aftermarket wheels that I really like.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where I might be able to source some custom wheel studs?

In my searching I discovered Extended Thread Lug Nuts. Seems like the simple answer if there's enough clearance in the wheels. Anyone here have any experience with them?

Are these aftermarket wheels? I have -12 offset on mine and I don’t need a spacer. My tire is 12.5 as well

Stock wheels. I haven't seen any aftermarket ones that I really like.

I have about 5/8" clearance from the bulge of the tire to the front knuckle with my 275 tires. the 12.50s are about 1-5/8" wider, so I am short about 1/4" clearance. I figured 13mm/.5" would give me a little cushion.

Well my shop located some ARP wheel studs that will supposedly work. $300... Oh well, cheaper than new wheels.

Apparently the studs are the same spec as some generation of Mustang, so they came in packs of 5. Had to get 5 packs and have one stud left over. But they work and I have the spacers/wheels/tires on. Finally!

I hadn't taken any yet. Just went out and got a few. Not staged that well but you get the idea.

I have a 2" front lift/level using adjustable links and these pics are at "Normal" ride height. I got some rubbing (more on the left than the right) on my mudflaps. I did some trimming and it's now gone on the right, but still a bit on the original fenderwell liner. I guess it will eventually wear off... It's only at about one full turn of the steering wheel so it only happens in parking lot maneuvers. I am very pleased with the look and the tires - General Grabber ATx - are quiet and smooth. Also, now my AMP Power Steps don't feel like the height of a small squirrel.

Note, the tires were turned slightly to the left, so the left front tire looks like it sticks out further than it really does.

Looks good. Now I know how my truck would look with 12.5's LOL. Splash guards you have now look a little insufficient though. Wish they made a 5th gen version of the rubber Mopar flaps they had for 4th gens. Thanks for posting the pics. :happy107:

Just a reminder - that's 12.5s with a 13mm spacer. My son had 12.5s on his Gen4 with no spacer - no rubbing and looked great with a little more protection.

Also FYI, I had been/am still planning a BDS 4" suspension lift. Apparently the '20s have a slightly modified front end and they haven't developed the required component(s) for the '20.

I realize this is old but can you give a part number? I'm in the same situation.

Thanks to this thread I am now running my 1/2” hub-centric slip on BORA spacers with plenty of thread engagement. The new ARP studs went in easily after letting them sit in the freezer overnight. Thanks for the info!

Wow, that looks almost exactly the same as my truck! Except the light bar in the lower grill opening. Although I would love to know more about that!

Glad it worked out for you.

You mentioned that your tire was rubbing.
If it is rubbing on the inner fender, grab a heat gun or even a Hair Dryer & heat the plastic & shape it the way you like it, using something like a short 2 x 4

I hadn't considered that. Will have to give it a try. Thanks!
