Hello im stuck between choosing between a 2013 longhorn or a 2016 sport; They're both around the same price, same mileage, 8spd, 3.21 gears. Im planning to mod the truck which is why im hesitant to get the longhorn i've also heard that the diffs are welded on the 13s. what do you guys think should i bite the bullet on performance for luxury would love to hear your guys opinion on this.

Front diff should also be welded in the 16,both trucks use the same ZF front diff if they're 4X4's.If you're wanting to swap differant gears into a 2012 or later ZF equipped 4X4 you need the complete front diff assembly. You have 3 factory options 3.21's / 3.55's and 3.92's for front ZF diff's. The rear diffs in both trucks are servicable, you can swap gears in both

I love my sport and I agree with paco, they're essentially the same truck. The only two advantages I can think of are: 2016 is newer and runs platinum plugs....

Unless the 2013 has a few mods to make it worth your while I'd probably go with the 16.
