Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a 2019 Rebel. Do you guys think the 12A package is worth it? For folks who have the package, would you have skipped it or do you like it?


I'd like to stick around the $60k msrp price point. At that price point, these trucks are similarly optioned out. If I went with a Rebel with 12A pkg, I'd have to sacrifice the air suspension.

Below are the window stickers of two trucks I'm considering. Which do you think is a better buy? :)

If it was me I would skip the 4 corner air. Maybe the 2019's are redesigned but my 2017 was a nightmare, hence why I'm in a new truck.

I would enjoy 12A options over Air Ride. Just my 2 cents. IMHO Granite also looks better than Silver.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I test drove both a rebel with air suspension and without. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference and thought they both drove just fine. 12A it is... ;)

I specifically looked for a rebel 12 with rambox. That display is is awesome. It sucks that with the 12 you get leather seats that don't have the cool red backs like the cloth ones. I do really like the truck tho. Came from a GMC. Did not want air as the ones I drove were stiff and did not ride as well. Had the 12 display mute on me one time until a full key cycle but it fixed itself. Also have a squeek in dash by windshield that is intermittent.

I have a 12 . I drove both one with air one with out. I think the truck rides better with out air ride.

For the 5th gen trucks the air suspension is the 2nd generation, and has a lot of updates.

My 14 had it and so does my 17. It works great until it gets cold in the winter. Then they will have issues. My next truck I’ll likely pass on it unless I see a huge drop in failures during the winter.
