I've used three AudioControl LOC's and had absolutely no issues with them.

Where is a good place to tap in I was thinking the front dash speakers so I don’t have to pull the deck out and really don’t feel like snaking wires into the doors or would I be better off just pulling the deck and tapping the rears

Pulling the head unit is super easy, I tapped mine there and ran under the sill to the back seat, everything on these trucks snap on and just pull off. Think it took me 20 mins to tap and route wires to the back.

Front dash speakers are not full range. Are you planning to amp all the speakers (front, rear, sub)?

Then the LC2i should work great. I believe the rear doors have a full range signal.
