Gentlemen,

I am a giant pain in the ass on this forum, I know this.

I am thinking about getting 35" tires. Right now I think I have 34.5". I am nearly positive I bought 315/12.5/17's. (or was it 315/70/17???)Now I want to know what exactly is a 35" tire? Is it 325? Also whats a decent brand I can spend $1000 and get four of them? Any help is greatly appreciated.

A 315/70R17 = 34.4x12.4R17, if you want a 35 in a metric size the closest you can get is 325/70R17 = 34.9x12.8R17. The problem you will have is the width and unless you have some offset rims or spacers you will rub

What type of tire are you looking for? AT, MT, etc. You will have trouble finding any 35" MT for a grand. You might find some ATs but you also might be replacing them sooner than later. You get what you pay for.

Every tire manufacturer's website, as well as Tire Rack, will give you the exact specs of each size tire, as well as the recommended wheel widths . . . Just an FYI, Section Width is the widest point of the tire, not the tread width

Will 35/12.5/17 work in my wheels? They're the exact same as the stock ones. Thanks in advance. I found some nitto tires I like.
