Well, I've got 13,000 miles on my stock Firestone Transforce HT tires and I'm not impressed. I'd say they are worn down to slightly below half tread. I need to move cross country in less than 2 months pulling a cargo trailer and I think I'll just go ahead and replace 4 tires and keep the firestone spare. Is there a tire that stands out for improved ride and handling? Any recommendations and experiences would be appreciated. I have a 2018 2500 tradesman diesel. Thanks

I should add I dont offroad at all. Purely street and highway. Minimal road noise, comfort and handling are the biggest priorities.

Toyo Open Country AT II are great tires. I ran a full set on my 2007 MegaCan.

I'm running a set of Nitto Ridge Grappler tires in a 35x12.50R18 now on my 2017 CTD. Great road tire IMHO and it works well off road too.

Thats why i went with wildpeak ht...
Highly comparable SRA as in ride and sound.

Two downsides. One weren't easy to find so maybe hard to replace if I get a flat. 2 I lost about two to three miles per gallon and that's switching from an all-terrain tire to this street tire

Running Nitto G2 Terra Grapplers on my 13 crew Cummins. Have about 40k on them and expect at least another 10. No complaints whatsoever. I am however considering Ridge Grapplers when these wear out. My only concern with the ridge grapplers is noise.

If you do no off-roading, these are excellent tires and not overly expensive. I had them for a couple of years on a previous truck in 305/50/20 and they were great. Excellent traction and wear. should be noted I live on the Texas Gulf coast and we get snow maybe once every 5-7 years. We do get more rain than anyone could want though, and they’re great in the rain.

I have ridge grapplers on my 1500 in 285/60/20 and noise is quite minimal considering how aggressive the tread is. It’s there, but it is probably the quietest AT tire I’ve ever had.

Your preference was the same as mine. I purchased Michelin Defender LTX (highway / all season) in November and they have been superb. Dry road quiet & comfort and wet road traction & handling is excellent.

I drive 99.9% of the time on the pavement but with a 2 wheel drive if you ever get off road when it's been raining there's a good chance you'll get stuck with street tires. I got stuck 3 times last year because it rained all winter and half of summer in OKC and the ground virtually never dried out so I just got some Cooper Discoverer A/T tires at Walmart for $114/ each and they're rated for 60K miles. The ride, noise, and gas mileage is pretty similar but maybe a hair worse than the Good year SRA factory tires which were excellent on my 2018 Tradesman.
