I’ve got a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie 4WD Crew Cab (plan on replacing the truck in 3-5 years), and my driver front tan leather seats are starting to go—cracking on the surface and the seat bottoms are sagging a bit. These are the heated/cooled seats, , so replacement options get a little trickier. So I’m trying to figure out the best way to rebuild them without losing the factory features.

Has anyone found replacement seat covers that include both the leather and the foam cushions? Or what routes have you guys taken to freshen up worn Laramie seats—new skins, new foam, upholstery shop, or full seat‑bottom replacements?

Have you used The Seat Shop's seat Durofoam Bottom Cushion and Seat Covers or Auto Seat Replacement's cushion and seat covers?
I am interested in the quality of their products and anyone's experiences with them.

A buddy of mine bought one from company on ebay - autopower_us

It actually worked really well for him, not real leather, but it wasn't bad at all, especially considering the price. If you're getting rid of the truck in the near future, may be an option

Did the drivers seat on an 11, it worked perfectly.

It is really sad that after all these years of making seats they somehow forgot how to properly specify proper seat cover material!

I went with AutoseatZone. They are full cover wrap around like katzskin, but 1/4 of the cost .

You can check my post that uploaded pics of the seats if curious.

Any complaints on these. Do they fit tight? I talked to Katzkin, they have a sale from time to time for $1800. However, I wanted them for my single cab and the price was the same as my crew cab. As much as I would love to have Katzkin forking $1800 for front row only is a little too much. These AutoseatZones look nice on the website and are priced well. Been looking for a good alternative, I don't need a cushion rebuild. Would like to hear more about these from anyone who actually has them.

They fit really well, and the front seats are REALLY tight, so tight it was a bit of a pain to get the top headrest connections through the holes, but I've been told by people coming to sit in the truck that they look OEM. I would rate these a 9.5/10 while Katzkin is like a 10/10 but it costed me $500 and theres plenty colours to choose from and styles on their site. I'll post some pics again.

Thanks for that feedback Icewolf. I like to hear they can be a pain to install, that means they fit tight! 9.5 vs a 10 is excellent for 1/4th the cost. I actually would have got the Katzkin for my single cab, but it was the same price as my supercrew. Makes no sense. AutoseatZone has them on sale right now for $299 on the single cab and $399 on the supercrew. I might have to at least pull the trigger on the single cab to give them a shot.

if you spend some good time installing them right, it will look good , I have gotten compliments , and most everyone thinks they're oem. took 4 hrs to install on my crew cab with the jump seat.

Thanks again. About an hour a seat for install is a sign of a good fit and some sore fingers as well. I'm convinced and am purchasing for my single cab. If I'm impressed, the crew cab gets them next. I'll post pics on my build thread once I have them installed. Appreciate your feedback Icewolf!

I just ordered and should add, it will take 5-9 weeks for delivery. Another great sign!
