I was given these today as replacements for my fog lights on my 2017 Ram Big Horn. They say they are upgraded and CanBus ready for 98% of vehicles. They say that there shouldn't be a need for a decoder for these.

I wanted to get some opinions before I start getting under the truck to replace them. Does anyone have any experience with "upgraded" Fahrens lights not needing a decoder?

Those 9005 will need to be modified to fit the 9006 that the fogs use. I know the plug has to be changed also one or two of the tabs on the bulbs might need to be shaved down.
The bad part about running LEDs in the factory housings is it turn them into driving lights and makes them blinding in fog and snow (been there, done this).
Probably one of the best lightings updates I did was switch to the DiodeDynamics SS3 SAE Pro level fogs. They make a kit for these trucks:
The light is curb to curb wide along with stays below the bumper and they're plenty bright to drive around the city without needing headlights.

Thanks for the response, it looks like I'll be giving them back. I certainly don't want to have issues in the fog. I can't afford the kit at this time, but I thank you for the link.

Yeah, do a search here for Fahren LED. Lots of members use them in the quad and projector headlights with good results and no issues. Other brands work well also and don't break the bank.
No doubt there is a lot of junk out there so do your research.
I've had Novsight installed in both my vehicles for 7 years. Low beam and fogs. Quads on my Ram and projectors on my wife's car. I paid roughly $30 a pair back then. Love 'em.
I think we've had this conversation before.

I have quad housings and want to swap to projector. If I order the Fahren’s from the link above, do I need an adaptor harness?

The Fahren link above is for 9005s.
Is that the type of bulb your Quads are using?

Fahren makes other low-profile bulbs like H11s.

Check your manual for the correct bulb P/N.
Or, contact a dealership with your VIN.

Projector housings are a much better choice for LED bulb upgrades.

Projectors are less prone to light scatter, and blinding oncoming traffic.
