I hear you there. I was in San Francisco last week (yes, the earthquake was fun for a midwesterner), and although it was 65 every day, I couldn't live there year round. I need variety. Of course, it's been 99 here the past few days and that 65 sounds pretty nice right now, but still. 0 in the winter and 100 in the summer is what I'm used to.

0-100 is pretty radical...lol! Perfect climate for me is 30-80. :baby:

What did you do in San Fran?? Beautiful city. I go up there alot (don't take this wrong way, lmao!)

that is just highway robbery, 5% here and I think right around 84.00 per year period.:favorites13:

5% luxury tax then 84$ per year plus inspection every two years? Assuming ontario.
Sounds like a deal to me.

Honestly, i love being able to plate whatever the **** i want with no questions asked but there are so many **** ass rotted out cars driving around here endangering everyones life i almost want inspections, or just the police to stop pulling over mustangs and motorcycles with loud exhausts and start towing rotted out civics with leaking gas and brake lines, wheels dropped in the fenders with "cool" negative camber and tires worn down to the cord, being driven to the floor in town so they can hear their homemade warm air intake with magnaflow exhaust attached with tie wraps and mechanics wire to the bumper

/rant lol

But I know it's a true story... :( Got the same **** down here.
It's amazing the things some guys do to their cars in the name of "customizing or tuning".:puke:

Think out west/oil lol. Just 5% on the truck total (sales tax) and 84.00 a year for registration that's it.:favorites13:

I'll chime in for Ontario, 13% sales tax on top of purchase price - vehicle needs to pass emissions & safety (to make sure everything is in good condition, certified by a licensed mechanic) to get tags and a "commercial" plate for a full size pickup - all that adds to up about $250'ish - most times a dealer will get it all done for ya.

I believe tags are $75 per year and you can get 2 year tags if you like..which is what I did.

I live in a less populated area in Ontario and
We have never had to do emissions test. I just pay the $80 yearly for my tag and of course the 13% tax to bring it home.

Thats why I like it up here. No emissions test once your north of Sudbury i think. Only emissions we have here is on commercial trucks above 5 ton.

And 0-100F isn't that big of a difference! Worked a couple days this winter that were -51 Celsius this winter. And a few this summer that were +38C
