Hey so I bought my 2019 1500 tradesman a year ago off a dealer here in Alberta. I had previously driven the ford 150 but after test driving the 1500, I decided I liked the truck better and the main selling point was my sales lady who was and is fantastic. But..... from the beginning there has been a LOUD rumble? The only way I can describe it is the first time I heard the noise I was driving in a parking lot with the radio up and I thought someone with a souped up car and some “sick” bass had rolled up beside me. So I didn’t think anything of it. It’s almost similar to driving over rumble strips on the highway but with the music up at 25 it’s still ten times louder- crazy loud. It’s also intermittent. I thought that maybe it was the tires doing it but I took it home put it in neutral in the driveway and revved it up and the noise stayed. Then I turn the truck off and on again and the noise is gone. THEN it starts up again some other day. It does it at highway speed and every other speed. At acceleration and when I let off the gas- warm truck and cold truck. I baby this truck because $54,000 is more than I make in two years. It’s never been off road. I have used the 4 wheel drive but only on pavement. It hauls my dirtbike and I’ve never hooked up a trailer yet. I drove it up to the dealership when it was making the noise and sat (never moved it from drive to park) and waited for the mechanic to go for a drive with me and LO AND BEHOLD, it wouldn’t make the noise. I have it on video and I’ll try to post it. We’re trying to work it out at Dodge and they’re being cool but guys I am SO bummed about this. It is not a good noise. When I revved it in neutral in the drive, I had my mom rev it while I stood by the engine with the hood open and I could t hear anything different from the engine area but the second I get back in the cab- RUMBLE! Also, the panelling around my rear sliding window cracked and I didn’t see it and my headliner has a gross water stain now. So they’re replacing the window and are going to clean the headliner but I’m concerned about the airbags and my Bluetooth speakers that are there at the back of the headliner. And the bushings need replacing in heat/cold blower somewhere. Those are minor and they’re going to fix them and I have the extended warranty. I’m almost thinking of talking to my sales lady and seeing what options I have. The noise really concerns me. It can’t be anything good. Does anyone have any ideas? Or had something similar happen? I’m not knocking Dodge but damn man, I wonder if I should have stuck with a different brand.
