Hi, Guys well my clips backed out of my LSD and wore my Cap and Housing down a bit, The bearing race is uncovered a bit but was not touched and the groove does not go all the way down to the bolt hole/threads so most of the shops I talked to said i should be ok to reuse the housing.

What are your thoughts?

Also i ordered a Richmond master rebuild kit and also a Eaton/Detroit True Trac Unit, Did I make the right choice over the Auburn unit?

With the rebate the True trac is going to work out to be cheaper ( not the reason I bought it ) Thanks

PS What fluid should I run and Where can i get the tool needed to to adjust the carrier preload ?

I got a Detroit True Trac,Richmond master rebuild kit, Torco 85w140 Non Syn oil and a I am going to add a G2 diff cover with the bolts that go against the bearing caps. I hope it stays together, and the install goes well.

Anyone use the Torco Oil?

Torco is good stuff, probably comparable to Amsoil. You won't go wrong with it.

I got the rear back together, Everything is set where it is supposed to be, So far so good There seems to be a little bit more play back and forth then before if I have it jacked up and and rotate wheel one direction then change direction also may have a slight clunking sound which you only hear if truck is on lift/jacked up, I believe this to be the Tru Trac unit. I have not tried it out yet in any type of off road/low traction situation. I will change the fluid in a few hundred miles and put on a aftermarket cover at that time also.

Just wanted to give an Update, the Rear is holding together just fine, I am going to be adding a TrueTrac to my 14 Camaro 2SS/RS along with 3.91 Gears. I am running Torco Fluid in the Ram but would like to run a 75/90 Synthetic in the Camaro and I am leaning towards the Redline NS since it is the only one I can find with out LSD additive in it.
