MAP light problem!!

I just replaced all my interior lights with LEDs. While replacing the driver side map light I guess I pushed to hard and bent the metal connectors in the socket itself. I did everything I could to line them all back up light he passenger side. The led on the driver side still wont work and I tried putting the original light back in and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Can I replace the socket part? Thanks for any info Im stumped.

I would suggest looking at one of the online parts catalogs to see if there is a broken out part/part number for that component of the console. If you aren't aware (you may be and this is redundant) you can pull down on the console to remove it from the headliner. From there you are able to disassemble it, and remove the broken socket to at least attempt a more thorough repair. I think there are four push pin type clips holding the console to the headliner, and you should start from the back, and work your way forward.

Thanks guys. I was able to pull the console down and found out that the plug going to the light was disconnected. How that happened I will never know but Im glad it was and easy fix. The LEDs look great and are a major improvement over stock.

I will say to anyone putting LEDs in there map lights be careful and dont push to hard the sockets can be easily damaged.

im going to add some to mine, i currently dont have them. Gonna tie into the existing dome light for power. That will be a fall mod, along with a lot of others.
