max Radio Volume 38???

So my new to me unconnect 8.4 max volume is 38??? Lol am i in an episode of Spinal Tap (for those who know the movie?) I found an old thread from 14 that went no where on the issue.
This is on a new to me 16 ram limited.

yes, max is 38, what's the issue?
No issue with the loudness, just found it funny that it goes to 38. Why not scale 1-10 or 10-100. Its almost like some engineer said loud enough at 38 and locked it down In the firmware of the radio

I thought the same thing. I went for the Alpine speaker option assuming better sound quality but have to say I'm not impressed. I've owned several Rams and won't make that stereo mistake again.

Surprised there's not more info on the limit of 38 or something in alphaobd that changes it possibly. Don't get me wrong I'm 49 not looking to rattle cargo out of the bed but there are times I
may have to drown out the wife. [emoji23]

You just need better speakers. The stock speakers don’t get loud enough to drown out voices, but some good speakers can.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.
